Windows 7 Keyboard Shortcuts – Docking
Posted on 12. Dec, 2009 by Jeremy Reis in Windows 7
Windows 7 has much better window management than previous versions of Windows. This allows you to easily maximize, minimize, and dock windows. You can drag windows to the top to maximize or the right or left to dock, but these keyboard shortcuts will allow you to work even faster:
- Win+Left Arrow and Win+Right Arrow dock the window to the left and right side of the screen
- Win+Up Arrow and Win+Down Arrow maximize and restore/minimize
- Win+M minimizes everything
- Alt+Up, Alt+Left Arrow, Alt+Right Arrow navigate to parent folder, or browse Back and Forward through folders in Explorer
- Win+Home minimizes/restores all open windows except the active window
- Alt+Win+# accesses the jump list of program number ‘#’ on the taskbar (e.g. Alt+Win+3 for program #3)
