Here’s a few tips to help you prepare for your first class:

  • Review the curriculum you will be teaching and ask for any workbooks and resource books your school has available.
  • Call your school and find out when you can get into the school to setup your classroom.
  • Write a letter to hand out to your students and parents explaining your background and expectations for the year.
  • Read instructional magazines about back to school issues.
  • Make friends with the front office – it is the hub of the school and will love to help a friendly face.
  • Nothing beats a well written plan for the school year.
